Phyllis Gould
Smithsonian Institute retiree, past president of Post 834, Ladies’Auxiliary Everett VFW
Phyllis T. (Tirino) Gould of Everett entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 18 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old.
Born in Everett, Phyllis was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1942. Phyllis was retired from the Smithsonian Institute having worked as a satellite tracker for many years. She was the Past President of Post 834, VFW Everett, Ladies’ Auxiliary.
She was the beloved wife of late Robert L. Gould, dear and devoted mother of Gary F. Gould and his husband, Daniel Higginbotham of Charlestown and the late Robert L. Gould, Jr.; loving sister of Marie A. Post of Santa Barbara, CA. Also surviving are several loving nieces, nephews, and her dear and caring friends, Louisa, Meryl, Lucy and Miriam who gave Phyllis great comfort the last few years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Phyllis’ visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett, Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Marie Flammia
Of North Reading, formerly of Everett
Marie (Lanzo) Flammia, lovingly remembered by four children, nine grandchildren and four great granddaughters, died on November 15. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine, mother of Robert and his fiancée, Kathleen Driscoll of New Hampshire, Denise Paone and her husband, George of N. Reading, David of N. Reading and Lisa of Saugus; sister of Rita Kloack of Revere. She Is also survived by nine grandchildren: Tara, Trisha and her husband, Michael, Bobby, Jamie, George, Matt, Shaina, Jenna and the late Tia and four great granddaughters.
Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Stella J. (Celata) DiVenuti of Malden died on November 18.
The beloved wife for 74 years of Albert P. DiVenuti, she was the loving mother of Diane Higgins and her loving husband, John of Malden and Albert “Albie” P. DiVenuti Jr. of Nahant; loving sister of the late Alfred, Arthur, Amo, Eugene, and Albert Celata. She is survived by six beloved grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett on Wednesday, November 22 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, Everett, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
