Alaa Ali excitedly welcomed visitors at the entrance to the American Islamic Center on Spring Street, off the Parkway, in Everett on Sunday afternoon, April 2. The AIC recently relocated from its long-time facility in Everett Square to the renovated building on Spring Street. The gathering on Sunday welcomed the community to the new building and was part of a statewide Open Mosque Day to improve relations between the Muslim community and the general public.
