Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Dorgan as Director of Informational Technology for the City of Everett.
Dorgan brings to the position extensive IT and support services and network administration to the City of Everett. Dorgan has been a City employee for four years as a member of the IT Department.
Prior to joining the DeMaria Administration, Dorgan was self-employed as a freelance programmer, web designer, network and databases manger/ developer, and general computer consultant. In addition he has extensive experience in graphic design, video post production/ delivery and audio production and mastering.
When discussing goals of his new position, Dorgan stated he is excited about the challenge of upgrading the City’s technology system. He aims to ensure that the City stays up to date on regulations and technological advances, and he looks forward to facilitating more efficient and progressive ways for employees to effectively communicate within different departments and with the public.
Dorgan is a native of Everett and attended Malden Catholic High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Hopkins University.
