RESIDENTS DONATE HOLIDAY TREE TO CITY
The City of Everett received a wonderful gift just in time for the holidays! Mayor Carlo DeMaria was thrilled to accept a 40-foot pine tree from the estate of Rocco and Caterina Colonna. The tree has been located in their front yard for the twenty-five years. The Colonna estate donated the beautiful tree to the City just in time for the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting this Friday, November 27th. “The Colonna family have provided the City of Everett with an extremely unique gift,” said Mayor DeMaria. “The annual tree lighting ceremony has become a special tradition that has brought the residents of the city together for the holiday season. Having this tree will make this year one to remember.” City Services employees skillfully removed the tree from Bradford Street and then set it up in its new home in Everett Square. The majestic tree is the perfect decoration for our City’s center this holiday season.
