Sand Sculptors Leonardo Ugilini (left) and Enguerrand David (right) discuss the steeple of the Old North Church on Revere Beach Monday morning as the centerpiece sculpture began to take shape – a piece dedicated to Massachusetts’s historical sites that includes
Old North Church, Zakim Bridge, Paul Revere, the State House, Boston Light and Gloucester Fishermen. The sculpture is part of the International Sand Sculpting Festival on Revere Beach, which officially begins Friday, July 24 and lasts until Sunday, July 26.
All 20 Sculptors concentrated their time on the centerpiece early this week, and today (July 22), they began working on their solo and duo pieces. The Festival will include a Food Truck Festival, music, hot air balloon rides on Saturday and fireworks over the Beach Saturday night at dusk.
