Good Luck, Everett High Football

The Everett High football program has enjoyed so much success that we’ve almost come to expect that the Crimson Tide will be playing every year in the Super Bowl on the first Saturday in December – at Gillette Stadium, no less.

But the fact is that each team is different – and it’s taken a lot of hard work by the coaches and the players to get to the biggest stage in high school sports once again.

It all starts with Superintendent of Schools Frederick Foresteire and his superb guidance of the school system and his dedicated support of the entire EHS athletic program. Mr. Foresteire understands that sports builds character and instills teamwork and sportsmanship and that for some student athletes, their excellence in sports and academics can be the path to receiving a college scholarship.

What head coach John DiBiaso and his staff have accomplished in the football program and with this year’s team is extraordinary. As is the DiBiaso Way, the team has improved steadily throughout the season and now stands one victory away from being officially crowned the Massachusetts state champion and the No. 1-ranked team overall.

The players put in the extra work necessary in the off season.  They took the field each game as one unit, adopting a team-first attitude. They listened to the daily tutelage of their coaches and their reward is a classic encounter with Xaverian for the honor of being the best football team in Massachusetts for 2014. This is truly a game for the ages and years from now.

We wish the Everett High football team good luck in the Super Bowl and thank the coaches and players for another exciting and memorable season.
