City Holds Open House for Small Businesses

Last week, Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the Everett Chamber of Commerce held an Open House for Small Businesses in Everett. At the event, businesses had the opportunity to learn about the City’s sign and awning program, as well as sign up for a free in-store or business consultation from Chris Moyniham, owner of Retail Visioning.

Retail Visioning helps retailers, restaurateurs, and storefront business owners realize their potential by offering a one-on-one in store consultation. Retail Visioning also helps communities and planners to work with their existing retailers, storefront service businesses, and small restaurant owners to improve the entire experience of a neighborhood retail district.

Businesses also had the opportunity to discuss their banking needs with representatives from Eagle Bank, Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation, and Ameriprise Financial Services, and to learn about energy savings from National Grid and TnT Energy.

Funding for the free in-store consultation is provided by the City of Everett through the FY14 Mini Entitlement Grant Program.
