Santa Claus Is Coming to Everett: Holiday Shows to Put You in the Christmas Spirit

It’s the time of year for shopping, gift giving, singing carols and, of course, pictures with Santa.

The chubby old elf with the red suit and white beard will be visiting Everett twice next week, in advance of Christmas Day.

On Monday, December 16, Santa will make at least two stops in the city, beginning with a 10:30 a.m. visit to the Everett Recreation Center at 47 Elm Street. The visit is scheduled to last until 12:30 p.m. and attendees are advised to bring their own cameras to get pictures. For more information on this visit, check with the Recreation Department at 617-394-2390.

Later that afternoon, Santa will stop by City Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. and be available to the public in the Lobby. Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s staff has been working to coordinate this visit with the help of Santa’s elves and those planning to attend should bring their Christmas lists and get their picture taken.

Christmas Concert and Fall show

Another way to get into the holiday spirit are the upcoming productions being offered at the Frederick Foresteire Center for the Performing Arts.

From Thursday, December through Saturday, December 14, join the Everett High School Dramatic Society for their production of “The Further Adventures of Nick Tickle: Fairy Tale Detective.”

Tickets are only $5 each and performances will held at 8 p.m. on Thursday and at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

If a family friendly comedy isn’t what you’re interested in, you can also check out the annual Everett High School Christmas Concert, being held on Tuesday, December 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and featuring music from The EHS Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, Show Choir, Rock Band, Orchestra and Voice Ensemble.
