Mayor Carlo DeMaria celebrated his primary victory at the Orsogna Plaza Tuesday night with hundreds of supporters.
“I’m so excited that the residents of Everett share our enthusiasm for the direction that Everett is headed,” DeMaria said to the cheering crowd. “But we still have a lot of work to do over the next five weeks.”
DeMaria won the primary with almost sixty percent of the vote, and topped the ticket in every ward.
“I’m very thankful to my volunteers, my campaign staff and my family,” DeMaria said after Tuesday night. “The time everyone has put in and the dedication everyone has shown is overwhelming.”
DeMaria, who lives in Everett with his wife Stacy and children Carlo, Caroline and Alexandra, is running for his fourth term as Mayor.
