Walter Jackson

Walter R. Jackson of Revere, formerly of Everett, was stricken at work with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurism on April 25 and taken to Boston Medical Center where he died on April 28. He was 59 years old.

Born and raised in Everett and a 1972 graduate of Everett High School, he entered the US Air Force in May of 1973 and served until December of 1974 during the Vietnam Era. He had a 34 year career as a printer with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Boston. For the past nine years, he and his beloved wife of 17 years, Peggy A, (Hibbard) Jackson were residents of Revere.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his devoted mother, Norma Jackson; he was the dear brother of: Luther Jackson of Revere, Trenace Jackson, Robert Jackson and Norma Jackson, all of Everett, Robin Jackson of Malden, Yvette Jackson of Worcester and the late Ross Jackson. He is also lovingly survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Nancy Lee Ciampi

Raytheon Retiree

Nancy Lee Ciampi, a lifelong Everett resident, died unexpectedly on May 2 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. She was 71 years old.

A Raytheon Electronics retiree working in security, she was born in Somerville, the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Pondelli) and Alphonso Ciampi; the dear and devoted mother of Carol Ciampi Dugan and her husband, Ed of Everett and the late William A. Ciampi; loving grandmother of Jennifer, Timothy, Patrick and Ariyana Ciampi Dugan and the niece of Dolly Carbone of California and Dolly Pondelli of Somerville.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nancy’s visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett, Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. with a service to follow in the funeral home at 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy’s  memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 , would be sincerely appreciated.

Fiore Contrada of East Boston died on May 2. He was 91 years old.

The beloved husband of Maria (Quarato) Contrada, he was the devoted father of Anthony Contrada and his wife, Maria of East Boston, Maria LaBella and her husband, Paul of Somerville, Frank Contrada of Virginia, Rosa Carbo and her husband, Alfonzo of Everett, Maria Quarato of East Boston, Domenic Quarato of Saugus, Vincenzo Quarato of Florida and Julia Sorrentino and her husband, Francesco of Woburn; loving grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley M. (Ruscitti) Vinciarelli of Revere died on May 1.

She was the loving mother of Fred Ferragamo and his wife, Sandra, Patricia Antar and Barbara Coleman; beloved sister of Barbara and Kathy Ruscitti and Patricia D’Antona and her husband, Bruce and is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, Felicia, Samantha, Leonard, Antonio, and Paul, as well as a loving niece, Gabrielle D’Antona.

Cheri Anne DeBorba

Cheri Anne (Ellis) DeBorba of Stoneham, formerly of Malden, died on April 27.

She was the beloved wife of Aldo; mother of John; daughter of G. Paul Ellis and his wife, Joan Keirstead of Watertown and Marion Ellis (Gagliardi) and her fiancé, Salvatore R. Saldutti of Everett; sister of Kim Shelton of Everett, Paula Ellis of Melrose, Tina Saldutii of Revere, Toni Cullen of Centerville and Jill McGovern of Norwood. She is also survived by two nephews, Joshua and Tyler and one niece, Sienna. She will also be missed by many aunts and uncles.

Louise Sabella

Of Everett

Louise (Accardi) Sabella of Everett died on May 5. She was the beloved wife of the late Ignatius “Nat” Sabella; loving mother of Vincent Sabella and his wife, Rhomaine of Lynnfield, Stephanie DiGiovanni and her late husband, Roy of Salem, NH, Joseph Sabella of North Andover and Nikki Louise Ferullo and her husband, Anthony of Lynnfield, She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett today, Wednesday, May 8, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, Everett, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
