Palma Belanger

Chelsea Resident

Palma M. (Tentindo) Belanger of Chelsea died on May 18.

She was the beloved wife of 52 years of Robert C. Belanger, Sr. of Chelsea; devoted mother of Debra Antonelli and her husband, Francis “Chip” of Everett, Robert C. Belanger Jr. of Chelsea, James Belanger and his companion, Barbara Richard of Chelsea; dear sister of George P. and Anthony Tentindo, both of Saugus; cherished grandmother of Anthony Antonelli of Everett, Robert Belanger, III of Hampstead , NH and Sara Belanger of Chelsea. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives.

Her Funeral will be held at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea, Thursday, May 24 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest. Ave, Chelsea, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Joseph Miele

Everett Resident

Joseph D. Miele of Everett died on May 18.

A US Army Korean War veteran, he was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Anderson); loving father of Linda Giannino and her husband, Philip of Everett, Cathy Miele of Lyman, ME, Michael Miele and his wife, Mary of North Andover, Joseph D. Miele, Jr. and his partner, Joseph Collette of Candia, NH; brother of the late Peter, Rose O’Brien, Annie LoRusso, and Mary Russo. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many loving nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett today, Wednesday, May 23 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Everett, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Ann Lemieux

Registered Nurse

Ann J. Lemieux of Wakefield, formerly of Everett, died in the loving care and comfort of her family on May 11 at the home of her daughter, Mary. She was 78 years old.

Born in Everett on March 24, 1934, one of six children of the late Alphonsus and Mary White, she and her loving husband, James were life-long Everett residents until recently moving to Wakefield. She graduated from the Whidden Hospital School of Nursing and spent her career at the Soldier’s Home in Chelsea. She retired in 1988 and spent her time enjoying her family.

Mrs. Lemieux set the bar incredibly high as a mother to her four daughters and was an exceptional role model to her 10 grandchildren. She was always full of life and loved every minute she had with family and friends; she lived every day as if it was a gift and taught many of us how to live with a diagnosis of terminal illness with grace, dignity and even joy.

She was the wife of James Laureat Lemieux and devoted mother to Mary Sandorse and her husband, Peter of Wakefield and their children Mary Kate, Matthew and Meg; Ann Quill and her husband, Greg of Winchester and their children, Michael and David; Jean Prast and her husband, Brian of Longmeadow and their children Brendan, Emily and Collin; and Theresa Carson and her husband, Kit of Maplewood, NJ and their children, Jack and Jesse. She is also survived by her sisters, Claire Lenehan and her husband, James, Margaret Cafarelli and her husband, George and Mary Young as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas White and John White.

A Funeral Mass was held in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield with Reverend Coughlin officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements were by The Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home, Everett.

Elisa Rosa

Everett Resident

Elisa Rosa of Everett died on May 15.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfredo; mother of Flora Pietrangeli of Billerica and Olga Tamlin and her husband, James of Saugus; sister of the late Americo, John, Marianna, and Antonetta and is also survived by four grandchildren, Julie, Lisa, Michael, Eric and seven great grandchildren.

Ruth A. (Winsor) Merchant of Revere, formerly of Everett, died on May 14.

She was the beloved wife of Frederick J. and loving mother of Michele Merchant, Brian Merchant and his wife, Ann Marie, and the late Michael; loving sister of Robert Winsor, Claire Russell, Joan Farnsworth, and the late James Winsor and Phyllis Abare. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren Jenna, Bailey and Nickey and many loving nieces and nephews.

Grace Pace

Clothing Designer, Owned Styles N’Fashion

Grace M. (Squatrito) Pace of Lynnfield, formerly of Everett, died unexpectedly on May 17 in the Union Hospital in Lynn. She was 80 years old.

Born in the North End of Boston, she lived in Everett for many years before moving to Lynnfield. She was a creative clothing designer for many years. She loved to sew and for many years she owned and operated Styles N’ Fashion in Everett. She also  loved to sing and cook and passionately enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends during the holidays and for any occasion. A houseful of people would always be welcomed.

She was the beloved wife of James P. Pace for more than 59 years; dear and devoted mother of James P. and his wife, Judy of Guernee, IL; Steven P. and his wife, Christy of Powell, TN; Robert and his wife, Svetlana and Luann DiTullio and her husband, Vincent of Peabody; sister of Joseph Squatrito of Everett, Paul Squatrito of Melrose, Angelo Squatrito of Florida and the late Anthony and Leo Squatrito. She is also survived by nine loving grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472, would be sincerely appreciated.

Mary (Gazzana) Visconti

of Everett

Mary (Gazzana) Visconti of Everett dies on may 21.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Visconti.  Mother of Elaine (Visconti) Aliberti and her husband Anthony Aliberti of Walpole, Dennis J. and his wife Karen, and Ronald P. and his wife Patricia of Saugus.  Sister of Carmella Freni of Saugus.  Predeceased by 6 siblings.  Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett, Friday, May 25 at 9:30. Prayer service to be held at funeral home at 10:00.  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours Thursday 4-8.  Please omit flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Entombment Woodlawn Mausoleum Everett.  Mary was the past President of the Everett Emblem Club.
