Paul Simko

Former HP Hood Distributor

Paul J. Simko died on September 12 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was 75 years old.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and a long time Everett resident, he was a US Air Force veteran and a hard working, self-employed distributor of H. P. Hood dairy products for 44 years.

He was the beloved husband of Sylvia L. (Lewis) for more than 53 years; dear and devoted father of Paul R. Simko and his wife, Kelly of Algonac, MI; Karen Kane and her husband, Thomas of Fayetteville, GA; Theresa M. Crawford and her husband, Stanley of Everett, Denise Fischer and her husband, Karl of Everett; Ken Moore and his wife, Emmie of St. Petersburg, Florida and Michael R. Simko and his wife, Susan of Everett; brother of Edward Simko and Barbara Malick of Connecticut and is also survived by 13 loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His Funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St.  (Corner of Main St.) Everett, Thursday at 10 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  Visiting hours are today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. lieu of flowers, contributions in his  memory to The Home for Little Wanderers,  271 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115 would be sincerely appreciated.

William Bavin

Wakefield resident

William A. Bavin of Wakefield, formerly of Somerville, died on September 9.

He was the father of William M. Bavin and his wife, Christina of Wakefield and Kristine M. Bavin and her fiancé, David Sudant of Everett; son of Lucille L. (Connelly) Bavin of Somerville and the late William L. Bavin; brother of Elizabeth and Patricia Bavin of Somerville and the late Lucille Roby and is also survived by his beautiful granddaughters: Sara, Kaila, Haylie and Alessandra.

Ornella ‘Nella’ Corvi

Malden resident

Ornella “Nella” Corvi of Malden died on September 5.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph and loving mother of Julie Lauria and her late husband, Frank of
Malden, Dino Corvi and his late wife, Elizabeth of Saugus, and Rita Fitzgerald and her husband, David of Salisbury. She was the beloved sister of Maria Gori of Rome, Italy and is also survived by five loving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Josephine ‘Midgy’ Walker

Everett resident

Josephine G. “Midgy” (Collins) Walker of Everett died on August 30.

She was the loving wife of Carl T. Walker and devoted mother of Karl “Terry” and his wife, Tina of Maryland, Bonita “Bonnie” and her husband, Shaun Stuger of Virginia and Lyle Chris and his wife, Thomesa of Everett; sister of Catherine Phillips of W. Medford and the late Carl “Sonny” Collins, Jacqueline Thompson, Jeannette Patterson, and Louise Rose; grandmother of Khari, Tayler, Jordyn, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Lionel, and Tatiana and is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Burial was at Puritan Lawn Cemetery with arrangements by the Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home, Everett. Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Building Fund.

Rose Marie Nicolosi

Former Everett resident

Rose Marie Nicolosi, formerly of Everett, died quietly in her sleep on September 1 following a short illness. She was 84 years old.

She was the wife of the late John Anthony Nicolosi; the beloved mother of Jeanne Nicolosi of New York City, the late John Nicolosi, Frank Nicolosi of Wilmington and Michael Nicolosi of Tucson, Arizona; precious grandmother to Julie Nicolosi, Zachary Nicolosi and Sydney Jackson of Tucson, Arizona and Amanda Nicolosi of Westford. She was the sister of Luigi, Theresa (lilja) Mary (Berry) Alfred, Dominick and John Appolloni.

Whidden Hospital Volunteer

Leonard A. O’Neil of Everett died on September 4.

A 14 year volunteer at the Whidden Hospital, he was the loving husband of Priscilla (Larkin) and devoted father of Leah Sellers and her husband, William of Dighton, William and his wife, Jean of Groveland, and Paul of Newburyport; adored grandfather of Dawn Kelliher, William Sellers Jr., Erin, Patrick, Nolan, Connor, and Alyssa and is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Jeffrey M. Halloran of Everett, formerly of Malden, died suddenly on September 3.

He was the beloved companion of Charlene O’Leary of Everett; devoted father of Jennifer R. Halloran and her fiancé, Daniel Sateriale of Malden, Tracy Files and her husband, Michael of Stoughton, Erin A. Halloran of Everett, Shawn P. O’Leary of Everett, and Samantha S. Halloran of Everett; former husband of Nancy D’Eon of Everett; loving son of the late John and Madeline (Monahan); cherished brother of John Halloran of Essex, Michael Halloran and Gary Halloran, both of Malden, and the late Daniel R. Patrick Kiersey of Everett, formerly of Lynn, died on September 3. He was 49 years old.

He was the manager of Project Place and site manager of Caritas.

He was the son of the late John P. and Frances L. (White) Kiersey; brother of John P. Kiersey, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Tewksbury, Thomas M. Kiersey of Hookset, NH, Kathleen “Kelly” Brady-Ferguson of Salem, Michelle A. Kiersey Roy and her husband, David of Lynn. He also leaves his devoted friend Maria Bramante of Naples, Florida, his nieces and nephews, Michael Brady, Shannon Ferguson, John Ferguson, Thomas Kiersey, Erin Kiersey, Samantha Roy, Heidi, and the late Rocky Kiersey.

Michael E. Rozanski of Everett, formerly of Revere, died on September 3.

Angelina “Angie” A. (Bernardo) Coveluzzi of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Everett, died on September 11.

She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic and loving mother of Andrew Coveluzzi and his wife, Dianne and the late Anna R. Barone; loving brother of the late Lucy Patterson, Caroline Silliker and Phyllis Binda. She is survived by her three loving grandchildren, Joseph D. and Deanna L. Barone and Timothy Blake as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
