2011 Independence Day Celebration July 2

Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. is happy to announce a full day of activities for the City’s Annual Independence Day Celebration.  This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, July 2 at Glendale Park from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features a jam-packed day of events.

The day of festivities include:

Kid’s Foot Races – Starting at 11:00 a.m.

Games for kids of all ages, featuring the music of DJ JASPER

Doll Carriage and Bike Decorating Contest – 12:00 p.m..

Let your kids show off their creativity and Patriotism – decorate a bike or doll carriage in our famous Red, White and Blue.

FREE Amusement Rides for Kids of all ages – 12:00 – 4:00

Also featuring throughout the day:

Face Painting

Live Wrestling and Boxing Demonstration

& Live Petting Zoo

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series annual kickoff this year will feature two great local live bands:

The Classic Rock & Roll of Revere’s own Inclusion

And back by popular demand: – Smokin’ Joe and the Henchmen

The Live performances kick off at 12:45 p.m. and run until 4:00 p.m.

This year the City is again partnering with the Everett/ Saugus Elks, Noonan’s Ice Cream, and new to the list of food vendors, Everett’s own Square Deli.  All three vendors will have delicious food choices available for purchase.

This year’s Independence Day Celebration will again be a great family affair.
