Walls Finishes 9th in High Jump at all State

Everett High’s Sashae Walls finished in a tie for ninth place in the high jump in Saturday’s all state meet with a leap of 5′, 0.” Sashae just missed at the 5’2″ height that she had cleared last week to tie the EHS record.

“All in all, Sashae  has had a great year,” said EHS head coach Shelanda Irish. “She has  been the top athlete for the girls’ team all year.  She improved so much in her track career, especially in her senior year.

“This was the first time she qualified for the All-State Meet,” continued Irish. “I’m looking forward to seeing how she does next year at Regis College and there is no question she will do well.  She truly embodies what it means to be a student-athlete.”
