Council Ends Year on Quiet Note

The last meeting for the Common Council on Monday ended without any major discussions.  The Councilors wrapped up their meeting in 30 minutes with the majority of orders concerning donations.

The order that needed some action was a measure to establish a Revolving Account for use of the Everett Memorial Stadium.  City Auditor Larry DeCoste told the Councilors that the use of this money would be to make repairs to the field.  He noted that currently any receipts from the field rental go to the General Fund as well as monies to pay for repairs come from the General Fund.  He thought that a cap of $25,000 limit for this account is appropriate but he noted that it would take a couple of years to have a better idea of what the true amount should be.
