Catherine M. (Jones) Mellor of Somerville died on March 6.

She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Mellor; loving mother of Scott Mellor of Somerville; sister of Lenetta Ruggiero of Wilmington, Norma J. Jones of Everett, Spencer of Melrose, Neal of Tewksbury, David of Maine, Joseph of Waltham, and the late Jane Jones. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, (Powder House Sq.), Somerville this morning, Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Paul A. Zaccone of Saugus, formerly of Everett, died on March 4.

He was the beloved husband of Jean (Capone) Zaccone; loving father of Christian Zaccone of Tewksbury; dear brother of Richard Zaccone of Yarmouthport, Lorraine Lewis of Saugus and Carol Swanson of Stoneham.

Mark Hersey Jr.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Mark A. Hersey Jr. of Saugus, a former lifelong resident of Everett, died on March 5 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. He was 33 years old.

A Licensed Practical Nurse working for Main Street Family Practice in Melrose, he was a graduate of the Everett Public School System.

He was the beloved husband of Jaqi M. (Griffin); dear and devoted father of Taylor Jean and Makayla Allison Hersey; loving son of Mark A and Marie (Carpenter) Hersey of Rhode Island; grandson of Charlotte Hersey of Arizona; brother of Michele Seward of Everett.

Virginia Lea (Hawkins) Hawbolt of Everett died on February 28.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold; mother of Margaret Michaud; sister of Audrey L. Manning of Milton, Beverly A. Gilbert of Rhode Island, Karlene Fitts of Abington, Neil I. Hawkins of Weymouth, Roberta Pease of Florida, Larry Hawkins of Pembroke and the late Jacqueline Horrigan; mother-in-law of David Crehan and is also survived by one granddaughter, Michele Crehan, and the late David Crehan and two great grandchildren.

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Everett

Mary A. (Mastrangelo) Alconada of Salem, NH, formerly of Everett, died on March 5.

She was the beloved wife of the late John, Jr.; mother of Robert J. and his wife, Laurie, of Salem, NH; sister of Thomas Mastrangelo and his wife, Deborah, of Medford, Elaine Guaetta of Woburn and the late Andrew Mastrangelo and his late wife, Mary. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett, today, Wednesday, March 10 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Concetta ‘Connie’ M. (Brancato) Villani-Grasso of Everett died on March 5.

She was the former owner of Andy Panda Ice Cream of East Boston.

The beloved wife of the late Eugene Villani, she was the loving mother of Stephen Grasso and his wife, Debbie, of Newburyport and loving daughter of Andrew and Angela Brancato; beloved sister of Nettie, Mary and Andrew Jr. and the late Minnie, Josie, Gracie, Janice and Angie. She is survived by her two loving grandchildren, Tricia and Matthew, as well as her niece Leslie and nephew Jeffrey.

Linda Cirame of East Boston died on March 5.

She was the beloved sister of Jackie Scarpa and her husband, Anthony, of East Boston, the late Dolly Screnci and her husband, Mickey Screnci, of East Boston and the late Salvatore Cirame and his wife, Emily Cirame, of Everett and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony “Tony” D’Alleva of Bedford, formerly of Everett, died on March 4.

A US Army veteran, he leaves many close friends with whom he resided at the Bedford VA Hospital.

He was the husband of Dianne Altemus-D’Alleva; stepfather of Bruce Hicks and Natalie Houle, both of New Hampshire, the late David and Gregory Hicks; grandfather of Gregory and Tyler; son of Nicola and Assunta (Ciancio) of Everett; brother of Maria Lombardi of Everett, Anna Celata of North Reading and Nicolas of Peabody and is also survived by nieces, nephews and one grand nephew.

Catherine M. “Kay” (Clark) Calderwood of Everett died on March 4. She was 90 years old.

A member of Women of The Moose since 1956, she was the beloved wife of the late Allan Calderwood; loving mother of Allan G. Calderwood of Peabody, Diane Lynch and her husband, Thomas, of Wakefield, and Everett Deputy Fire Chief Paul Calderwood and his wife, Robin, of Wilmington; cherished grandmother of MaryElizabeth Lynch of Wakefield and Chantal Tope’ of Rhode Island.

Edith (Hill) Lacey of Everett died on February 14. She was 77 years old.

She was the beloved wife of late Edward H. Lacey; mother of Bradley and his wife, Margaret ,and Brian E. and his wife,  Joan; two grandchildren Amanda and Brent Lacey. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Cheryl Boudrow, Denise Merrill, Dawn Kenrick, Denise Becker, Zachary Merrill and Drew Merrill.

A Memorial Service was held at Elm Street Baptist Church, Everett. Private burial was at Lakeside Cemetery. Charles Jolly

Longtime employee of North Shore

Cutting & Die Co.

Charles J. Jolly of Everett died on March 4. He was 80 years old.

A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired longtime employee of No. Shore Cutting & Die Co. Mr. Jolly later worked for Smith Drug Store of Wakefield. He was also a volunteer for Mystic Valley Elder Services and was a member of the Malden Moose.

He was the beloved son of the late Leo and Meleda (Levesque) Jolly; loving brother of Valeda Savard and her husband, Gary, of Pine City, NY and is also survived by five cherished nieces and nephews, 13 grandnieces and grandnephews and 10 great grandnieces and great grandnephews. He was the dear friend of Dan Fowle of Malden.

Hubert Jackson of Everett and Lynn, died on March 3.

He was the life partner of Carole Goodrum; devoted father of Serena Goodrum and Chris Goodrum, all of Lynn; loving brother of Denise Jackson of Everett and Diane Jackson Palmer of Chicago, IL; son of the late Richard and Blonzine (Woodington) Jackson.

Janet (Sorice) Wheeler of Malden died on February 28.

She was the beloved wife of Robert P. Wheeler; devoted mother of Sandra DeCristoforo of Saugus and Robert Wheeler, Jr. of Boston; sister of Carmen (Carl) Sorice of Wakefield; cherished grandmother of Haley, Evan and Matthew.

Anthony J. “Tony” Ventura of Malden, formerly of Everett, died on March 1.

A Disabled US Air Force veteran of World War II and an avid golfer, he was the long time owner and proprietor of Everett Square Sporting Goods.

He was the beloved husband of Lillian (Alessandrini); father of John and his wife, Theresa, and Paul and his wife, Theresa, all of Melrose; brother of the late Josephine Maccario and Joseph Jr. and is also survived by four grandchildren, Emma, Anthony, P.J. and Julia.
