Anthony Russo Sr.

Retired Everett School Administrator and Educator

Anthony P. Russo Sr. of Winchester, formerly of Everett, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on November 15. He was 83 years old.

Born in Natick and a longtime resident of Winchester, Mr. Russo was a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was an educator and administrator for the Everett Public Schools retiring after 41 years of service as principal of the former Center School on Broadway, Everett and a member of the Saugus-Everett Loge of Elks, No. 642, E Club of Everett, REAM and the Retired Municipal Employee’s Association.

He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. (Lewey); dear and devoted father of Anthony F. Russo Jr. and his wife, Alysia, of Tewksbury; brother of Philip Russo Jr. of W. Yarmouth and Letty Russo of Malden; loving grandfather of Anthony J. “AJ” Russo.

His funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main Street) Everett, Thursday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Wilwood Cemetery, Winchester. John Pini

Member of Elks, Local 4 and Mass. National Guard

John P. Pini of Revere, formerly of Everett, died unexpectedly on November 13.

A member of the Everett Elks, Local 4 and the Massachusetts National Guard, he was the loving father of Julie Pini of Melrose and Heather Mancini and her husband, Anthony, of Peabody; dear brother of Lorraine Ramsey of Revere and the late James Pini; cherished grandfather of Matthew Pini, Anthony and Madison Mancini.

His funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere, Thursday morning at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, Revere, at 10 a.m. Family and friends may visit today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 

Helen Milton

Everett resident

Helen (Csicsek) Milton of Everett died on November 12.

She was the loving mother of Frederick J. Milton and his wife, Erzebet, of Florida; loving sister of Margaret King of Malden, Elizabeth Csicsek of Everett, and the late William, Zoltan and his wife, Barbara Csicsek. She is survived by one loving granddaughter, Natalie Monterio, and two great-grandchildren, Kyrstian and Nico, as well as many loving nephews and nieces.

Amedeo ‘Eddie’ Mimmo

Former Part Owner of “Modern Pastry”

Amedeo ”Eddie” Mimmo of Randolph died on November 15.

The former part owner of “Modern Pastry,” he was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Conti) and is survived by many loving brothers, nephews and nieces.

Marie ‘Mim’ Mitchell

Lynn resident

Marie L. “Mim” Mitchell of Lynn, formerly of Charlestown, died November 12 in Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers after a brief illness. She was 62 years old.

The wife of Robert Mitchell, with whom she spent 42 years of marriage, she was born and educated in Boston, daughter of Priscilla (Bingham) Kenyon of Charlestown and the late Percy Kenyon.

She was a resident of Lynn for the past 16 years, previously residing in Everett and Charlestown. She was employed at Johnny’s Foodmaster in Charlestown and Medford for several years and enjoyed television and reading, but especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Jannine Hairston and her husband, Michael, of Melrose and Sandra Olivieri and her husband, Marc, of Malden; two brothers, Roger Chesebrough and his wife, Gloria, of Charlestown and Michael Kenyon and his wife, Kelley, of Everett; one sister, Marlene Cunningham, and her husband, William, of Medford; four grandchildren, Kristopher Mitchell, Patrick Seward, Lauren Hairston, and Elora Rose Olivieri, and many nieces and nephews.

Edward Steene

Painter for McCabe Painting Company of Everett

Edward J. Steene, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on November 12 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital after a period of failing health. He was 68 years old.

Born in Malden, he worked as a painter for McCabe Painting Company of Everett.

The son of the late James and Josephine (Schena), he was the devoted brother of Joseph of New York, Richie of Medford, Virginia Bowen of Lynn and the late James and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Murphy-O’Hara Funeral Home, Everett. Services were held at the funeral home with the Reverend David Meskell officiating. Burial was at Puritan Lawn Cemetery.

 

Alice Silverio

Retired Bookkeeper

Alice Silverio, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on November 13 at the Aberjone Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 88 years old.

Born in Everett, she worked in various offices as a bookkeeper.

The beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Silverio, she was the loving sister of the late Mario, Guy, Roland, Josephine Bucci, Gilda Guarino, Mary Spadafora and Evelyn Spadafora and is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main Street) Everett, today, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Oakes St., Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Carolyn Taylor

Carolyn M. (Smith) Taylor of Everett died at a local nursing home after a period of failing health on November 9. She was 74 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Horace Taylor; loving mother of Horace, Loretta, Norman Dana, Douglas, and Lawrence; sister of Paul “Smitty” Smith and his wife, Jean Marie, of Everett, Robert “Bob” Smith  and his wife, Mary, of Waltham and Harriet Cobb of California and is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by The Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home, Everett. Services were held at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Coots officiating.

 

Anna DeCampo

Retired Seamstress

Anna (Miranda) DeCampo of Everett died on November 11. She was 91 years old.

She was a retired seamstress for Forecasters Coat of Boston, a member of the garment workers union, former Corps Mom for St. Therese Drill Team and the ICC Band. She was a longtime resident of Golden Age Circle and a proud naturalized US citizen.

She was the beloved mother of Diana Anderson and her husband, Scott, of Everett and is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.

Filomena (DiNuccio) Anreottola, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on November 12 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital. She was 84 years old.

A homemaker, born in Everett, she was the beloved wife of the late Michael; dear and devoted mother of Frank of Everett; sister of Anthony DiNuccio and Sophie Giordano, both of Everett, and the late Guy DiNuccio, Anna Ristaino, Marie Pellicio, Florence Squadrito and Rose Gallucio.

Therese M. (DeAngelis) Capone, a lifelong resident of Everett, died at the Epoch Senior Health Care Center in Melrose on November 12. She was 75 years old.

A homemaker, born in Everett, she was the beloved wife of the late Philip Capone; dear and devoted mother of Lisa M. Harol of Everett, William Capone, Gerald Capone and the late Philip S. Capone; loving grandmother of Pyten Harol, Olivi Harol and Carmenique Capone.

Frances J. Zagarella of Malden died on November 11.

Irene L. (Rauseo) Lawrence of Salem, formerly of Ashton Street, Everett, died in Danvers on November 13.

She was the wife of the late Richard F. Lawrence; daughter of the late Vito and Dominica Rauseo and is survived by three daughters, Martena Fallon and her husband, Francis, Jacqueline Elliott and her husband, Richard, and Mary Eagan and her husband, Richard; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward, Peter, Michael, Anthony and John Rauseo, Mary Carbone and Ethel Larkin.

Sheila M. (Budney) Howard, a 31 year resident of Everett, formerly of Chelsea, died on November 10 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 60 years old.

A homemaker, mother and grandmother, she was born, raised and attended schools in Chelsea.

She was the beloved wife of 41 years of Robert E. Howard Sr. of Everett; devoted mother of Robert Howard Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Everett, Scott Howard and his wife, Shye, of Florida, Angel Daigle and her husband, Billy, of Revere and the late Timothy Howard; dear sister of Richard Budney and his wife, Sandy, of North Brookfield, Bette Mohr of Hingham, Beverly Gallant of North Andover, Patricia Sobolewski of Revere, Sandra Laft and her husband, Richard, of Saugus; sister in law of the late Russ Mohr, Al Gallant and Robert Sobolewski; loving grandmother of Chanel, Timmy, Michael, Faith and the late Chuckie. Peter “Red” Marino of Saugus died on November 8. He was 95 years old.

He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (Marino) and loving father of Josephine Cargill and her husband, Paul, of Saugus, Mary Molander and her husband, Peter, of North Andover and Michael Marino and his wife, Betty, of Saugus; beloved brother of the late Rita DeLeo and Edward Marino and is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Anetta V. (Rosa) Antinick, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, died after a long illness on November 10 at the Everett Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she has been receiving supportive care for the past nine weeks.

Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Saltzman) Rosa. She was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School. She dedicated her life to home and family.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Antinick; the devoted mother of John W. Antinick and his wife, Leah, of Everett, Thomas Antinick and his wife, Blanche, of Lynn, Patricia White and her husband, Rodney, of Scottsdale AZ, Stephen Antinick and his wife, Leslie, of Cheyenne WY, Michael Antinick and his wife, Marika, of Haiti and Paul Antinick of Somerville. She was the dear sister of Marie Stephens of Maryland and is also survived by six grandchildren.

Blanche ‘Ardar’ Selden

Blanche “Ardar” (Bailey) Selden of Everett died on November 8.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Selden; loving mother of Sondra G. Riel and her late husband, Albert; beloved sister of Ruth B. Hart and the late Luke and George Bailey. She is survived by one loving grandson, Kenneth L.S. Riel, and his wife, Sophia, and a loving great-grandson, Raymond A. Riel, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Clara E. Swanson of Everett died on November 9. She was in her 81st year.

She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Santos) Perry; dear sister of Josephine Trufant, George and Albert Perry; beloved mother of Carl E. Swanson and his wife, Kathy, of Nashua NH, and Charles A. Swanson Jr. of Everett and is also survived by her loving grandson, Kyle Swanon.
